My recommendation is that any moment when there’s a lull in the conversation you speak up and ask if you can talk about something kinda serious/important. Just get yourself to say that and then once you do that you can’t back out because everyone will want to know what it is and you’ll be forced to say it even if you’re so scared you’re gonna pee all over everything.
